Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Wall ties should be installed according to building regulations and manufacturer guidelines. Typically, they are inserted into pre-formed cavities between the inner and outer masonry leaves. Ensure the ties are fully embedded in both the inner and outer mortar joints for maximum effectiveness. Use appropriate spacing as dictated by structural requirements and local building codes.
Compatibility:
These ties are designed for light-duty masonry cavity walls in buildings up to 10m in height. They are compatible with common brick, block, and stone masonry. Their A2 Stainless Steel construction makes them suitable for use with a wide range of building materials, including those with potential corrosive characteristics like treated timber or certain types of stone.
Care:
Being A2 Stainless Steel, these wall ties require minimal specific care once installed. Their inherent corrosion resistance means they will not rust or degrade under normal exposure. Ensure that during construction, no excessive forces are applied to the ties that could compromise their integrity before the mortar has fully cured.
