LOCTITE 222 is a low-strength threadlocker that allows the adjustment of screws including countersunk head screws and set screws. It can be easily applied to small fasteners and will lock and seal out moisture, but can also be gently removed with the same hand tool use to assemble the fasteners. This product is good on low-strength metals which could fracture during disassembly, e.g. aluminium or brass. The product works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces. It is tolerant of minor contamination from industrial oils including engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids. Typical Applications include the Oil industry. The LOCTITE thread lock creates reliable, low strength locks so that necessary screws can be easily disassembled, e.g. countersunk screws. The construction adhesive secures screws that could easily break during disassembly. It is suitable for use on pumps, gearboxes and presses.
