This Primed MDF Round Half Round Skirting Board is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to achieve a clean, modern aesthetic where walls meet floors. Its key benefit is the pre-primed, uniform surface that significantly reduces installation time, though users should note that the MDF material requires careful handling in high-moisture environments like bathrooms or utility rooms.

It comes pre-primed, but a very light rub-down with fine-grit sandpaper can help remove any transit marks and improve paint adhesion.
MDF is not recommended for high-moisture rooms. We suggest using a water-resistant or plastic-based alternative for bathrooms.
You can use most standard interior wood paints, such as water-based satin, gloss, or eggshell finishes.
A standard handsaw will work, but a miter saw is recommended for consistent, professional-looking corner joints.
While high-strength grab adhesive is effective, using nails as well provides the most secure fit, especially on walls that aren't perfectly flat.
Use a miter block or adjustable miter saw to ensure your 45-degree cuts are precise. Fill gaps with decorator's caulk.
This indicates moisture exposure. Ensure the floor is dry and consider adding a silicone bead along the bottom edge if dampness persists.
Use a nail punch to sink the heads slightly below the surface, then fill with high-quality wood filler before painting.
Before installation, allow the boards to acclimatize in the room for 24-48 hours. Use a miter saw for clean angled cuts at corners. When fixing, use a wood adhesive on the back and secure with a nail gun or hammer and nails. To maintain the board, seal all cut ends with wood primer or paint to prevent moisture absorption. Clean the surface periodically with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive water, which can damage the MDF core.
