This Watering Indicator Stick from SuperGift.com is designed for indoor plant enthusiasts who struggle with knowing when to water their plants. Its primary benefit is preventing both overwatering and underwatering, ensuring healthier plant life with a simple visual cue. A potential caveat is its reliance on the soil's moisture level, which can be affected by pot size and plant type. The indicator features a clear red/blue visual display that signals when watering is needed. Once watering is complete, the indicator changes color back to blue within approximately two hours.

The indicator should reliably change from red to blue within 2 hours after watering, and should show red when the soil feels dry.
While primarily designed for indoor use, it can be used in outdoor pots. However, heavy rainfall may affect its accuracy and require more frequent monitoring.
MPN stands for Manufacturer Part Number. 'WES-WAT' is a specific identifier for this particular watering indicator stick model from SuperGift.com.
These indicators are designed for durable, long-term use under normal conditions. There is no specific lifespan, but they should function for several years.
No, the color change indicates the presence of moisture in the soil. You should still water until you see water drain from the bottom of the pot or until the indicator turns blue.
The green color is part of the aesthetic design, intended to blend in with plant foliage. The functional part is the red/blue indicator window.
Ensure the stick is inserted correctly and reaching moist soil. Wait the full 2 hours for the color change. If it persists, the soil may be too compacted, or the indicator might be faulty. Try repositioning or testing in different soil.
Verify the stick is properly inserted into the soil. If the soil is extremely dry and compacted, the indicator may struggle to register. Try adding a small amount of water around the base of the stick to help it make contact with moisture.
Soil composition can affect performance. Very sandy or very clay-heavy soils might lead to slower readings. Ensure the stick is clean and not obstructed.
