This Knipex VDE Insulated Ratchet Action Cable Shear Cutter Plier is designed for cutting steel wire armoured cables with a diameter of up to 45 mm or 380 mm². It features precision-ground blades and induction-hardened cutting edges for smooth, neat cuts without crushing. The plier has an innovative high-leverage three-stage ratchet-drive for easy one-handed or two-handed operation. Its lightweight and compact design (315 mm length, 800 g weight) makes it ideal for use in confined areas. The handles are insulated with multi-component grips and are VDE-tested according to IEC 60900 and DIN EN 60900 standards. Made from high-grade special tool steel, forged, and multi-stage oil-hardened. Note: Not suitable for cutting ACSR cable and wire rope.
