Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Connect the power supply to a suitable mains power outlet using the provided power cord.
- Connect your low-voltage consumer to either the front 4 mm safety banana jacks or the rear high-current screw terminals. Ensure correct polarity.
- Use the digital control dials to set the desired voltage and current limit. The left dial typically controls voltage, and the right controls current. Use the coarse and fine adjustment for precise settings.
- To utilize remote control, install the provided software (from CD or download) and connect the power supply to your computer via USB.
Compatibility:
The power supply is designed to power low-voltage DC consumers. It is compatible with devices requiring a continuously adjustable DC voltage and current within its output range (up to 360W, 5A max on rear). The USB connection is compatible with most modern operating systems, provided the correct drivers are installed from the software package.
Care:
- Keep the power supply clean by wiping it with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure ventilation slots are clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated environment when not in use.
- Periodically check the power cord and connectors for any signs of damage.
