Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack the tile cutter and ensure all components are present.
- Extend the two support legs outwards until they lock into place for maximum stability.
- Check that the cutting blade is securely in position and aligned with the scoring track.
Compatibility:
This machine is designed to cut a wide range of tile materials including:
- Ceramics
- Porcelain
- Granite
- Floor tiles
- Other hard surfaces (within specified thickness limits).
It is suitable for tiles with a thickness between 0.2" and 0.6" (4-15 mm).
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the steel rails and base with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For tougher marks, use a slightly damp cloth, ensuring the machine is completely dry afterward.
- Blade Maintenance: Periodically inspect the cutting blade wheel. If it appears dull or chipped, it may need replacement to maintain cutting performance. Refer to the manual for replacement instructions.
- Lubrication: The ball bearings in the sliding head may benefit from occasional light lubrication with a suitable lubricant to ensure smooth operation. Avoid over-lubrication.
- Storage: Store the tile cutter in a dry environment to prevent corrosion of the steel components.
