Suitable for interior and exterior jobs, there is no need for a separate primer as the advanced formula acts as a primer, undercoat and topcoat simultaneously. The paint also provides great protection and leaves a wonderfully smooth finish. Directions: 1) Ensure surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from dirt, oil, grease deposits, etc. Use a stiff brush or steel wool to remove loose corrosion and other surface contaminants. 2) Shake aerosol well for approximately 2 minutes. Continue to shake regularly throughout the application process. 3) Spray on to desired surface from a distance of 15-25cm. Apply 2-3 thin coats for even coverage, leaving 15-20 minute intervals between each coat. 4) Allow 24 hours to fully harden. 5) After use, invert can and spray for 2-5 seconds to prevent blockages forming in the nozzle. Note: Only use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area at temperatures between 15 Degrees C-25 Degrees C. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use in direct sunlight.
This Bartoline Direct to Rust Multi-Surface Paint in Black is designed for DIY enthusiasts and professionals seeking a durable, all-in-one coating for metal, wood, plastic, and ceramic surfaces. Its key benefit is eliminating the need for a separate primer, acting as primer, undercoat, and topcoat simultaneously, saving time and effort. A caveat to consider is the requirement for application in well-ventilated areas or outdoors within a specific temperature range.

Troubleshooting
Uneven spray pattern or spitting
Shake the aerosol can more frequently during use. Ensure the nozzle is clear by performing the post-use clearing step. Try increasing the distance from the surface slightly.
Paint not adhering well
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease or oil. For metal, make sure all loose rust and contaminants have been removed with a brush or steel wool before application.
Runs or drips in the paint finish
Apply thinner coats. Reduce the distance from the surface or slow down the spray motion. Allow adequate drying time between coats.
Can not spray after use
The nozzle may be blocked. Invert the can and spray for 2-5 seconds to clear it. If still blocked, a replacement nozzle might be required or try soaking the nozzle in a suitable solvent (check manufacturer advice).
