Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the encoder, first connect your analog audio source (balanced or unbalanced) to the inputs. Connect the Ethernet port to a Dante-compatible network switch, preferably one that supports PoE to minimize cabling. If PoE is unavailable, connect the unit to a stable USB-C power source. Once powered, use the Dante Controller software on a connected computer to discover the unit and assign channels. Always ensure the firmware of the unit is updated via the controller for optimal performance. Regarding care, keep the unit in a well-ventilated area to prevent heat buildup and avoid placing it near sources of high electromagnetic interference. Clean the exterior only with a dry, soft cloth, ensuring no liquid enters the input or Ethernet ports.
