Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the appliance for any damage.
- Placement: Position the fridge freezer on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for ventilation (at least 10cm from walls/cabinets).
- Adjustable Feet: Use the adjustable feet to level the appliance, ensuring stability and correct door alignment.
- Reversible Door (Optional): If desired, the reversible door feature allows you to change the door's hinge side to open from the left or right. Refer to the detailed instructions in your user manual for this procedure. *This usually involves moving hinges, plugs, and sometimes the handle.*
- Power Connection: Plug the appliance into a grounded electrical outlet. Allow the fridge freezer to stand for at least 4 hours before switching it on to allow refrigerants to settle.
- Initial Power On: Turn on the appliance and set the adjustable thermostat to your desired temperature. Allow it to run for several hours (4-6 hours recommended) to reach operating temperature before loading with food.
Compatibility
- Dimensions: With dimensions of H:145.0 x W:49.7 x D:56.0 cm, this fridge freezer is designed to fit into standard kitchen spaces, particularly suitable for apartments, smaller homes, or utility rooms.
- Power: Requires a standard household electrical outlet (> Info needed: confirm specific voltage/Hz for country of sale if not standard 220-240V/50Hz).
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning:
- Interior: Unplug the appliance. Clean the interior regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth and dry. Remove and clean shelves, door racks, and the crisper as needed.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior (stainless steel finish) with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Defrosting (Freezer): Thanks to Low Frost Technology, manual defrosting is less frequent. When ice buildup reaches about 3-5mm thick, unplug the appliance, remove all food, and allow the ice to melt naturally. You can speed this up by placing bowls of hot water inside. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly before restarting.
- Door Seals: Regularly check and clean door seals to ensure a tight closure, preventing energy loss and ice buildup.
- Temperature Management: Utilise the adjustable thermostat to maintain optimal temperatures. Avoid placing hot food directly into the fridge/freezer as this increases energy consumption.
Note: For optimal performance and energy efficiency, ensure good ventilation around the appliance.
