Yes, viscose can shrink upon the first wash. Always pre-wash your fabric using the same method you plan to use for the finished garment.

At 105gsm, it is lightweight and generally opaque enough for most garments, though you may prefer a lining for lighter-colored skirts or dresses.

While technically possible, viscose challis is much softer and thinner than standard quilting cotton, making it less ideal for structural patchwork.

Use a medium-low heat setting with a pressing cloth to avoid direct heat contact, which can damage the delicate viscose fibers.
