Yes, because the gate is made of aluminium, it is naturally resistant to rust and corrosion, making it a great choice for coastal properties.
While the powder coating is highly durable, painting over it is not recommended as it may void the warranty and lead to poor adhesion.
Generally, you will need a drill, masonry drill bits (if mounting to brick), a spirit level, a tape measure, and a screwdriver set.
Retain your proof of purchase. The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
The gate is designed for specific hanging. During initial installation, you can choose the swing direction, but it is typically installed to swing inward.
Adjust the wall-mounted hinges to tilt or shift the gate alignment until the latch aligns perfectly with the lock keep.
Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the keyhole and the latch mechanism inside the gate.
Check the hinge bolts for tightness and use the adjustable hinge feature to lift the leading edge of the gate back to level.
Setup: The gate is designed for versatile mounting. Whether you are attaching it directly into brick masonry or securing it to steel or timber posts, ensure you use appropriate wall anchors for your substrate.
Compatibility: It functions well in standard residential pedestrian pathways. Always double-check your opening width prior to drilling to ensure the adjustable hinges provide enough range to center the gate.
Care: The black powder-coated finish is low-maintenance. To clean, simply rinse with water and a mild detergent during your seasonal garden maintenance. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that could scratch the coating. Periodically check the Euro lock and hinges for debris and apply a light silicone-based lubricant to keep the mechanism operating smoothly.
