Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply plug the gold-plated RJ45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices (e.g., router, computer, game console) and network equipment. Ensure a secure click to confirm the connection is properly seated.
Compatibility: This CAT8 cable is backward compatible with CAT7, CAT6a, CAT6, CAT5e, and CAT5 standards. However, to achieve the maximum 40 Gigabit speeds and 2GHz bandwidth, both the cable and all connected devices and network hardware (routers, switches, network interface cards) must support the CAT8 standard.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Avoid kinking or sharply bending the cable, especially near the connectors.
- Keep the connectors clean; gently wipe with a dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth if dust accumulates.
- Protect the cable from extreme temperatures, moisture, and direct sunlight.
- Ensure the snagless boots on the connectors are intact to prevent damage to the locking tab.
