FAQs

What is the primary purpose of the GroundMaster Gutter Guard Brush?

Its main purpose is to prevent leaves, twigs, and other debris from blocking your gutters and downpipes, ensuring free rainwater flow.

How do I know if this brush will fit my gutters?

The brush is designed for universal fit in gutters with an internal diameter between 100mm and 116mm.

Does this product require regular cleaning?

No, the GroundMaster Gutter Guard Brush is designed to be maintenance-free. The natural flow of rainwater typically keeps it clear.

What are the brush's dimensions?

This specific model is 28 meters long, but it can be cut to the required length. The diameter is designed to fit gutters from 100-116mm.

How does the UV-resistant coating help?

The UV-resistant coating protects the brush material from damage and degradation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight and varying temperatures, increasing its lifespan.

Can I use this brush in square downpipes?

This brush is primarily designed for gutters. While it might be adaptable for some downpipe entrances, its core design and fit are for round or half-round gutters within the specified diameter range.

What happens if very fine material accumulates?

While the brush is effective against larger debris, very fine silt or dust could potentially accumulate over extended periods in some environments. However, typical rainfall is usually sufficient to wash most fine particles away.

Troubleshooting

Brush does not fit gutter.

Verify your gutter's internal diameter. This brush is designed for 100-116mm gutters. If outside this range, it may not provide a secure fit.

Water is still pooling in the gutter.

Ensure the brush is installed correctly and is not packed too tightly. Check for any larger debris that may have bypassed the brush or accumulated at the downpipe entrance.

Brush seems to be degrading.

While UV-resistant, extreme prolonged exposure to harsh conditions could impact longevity. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary. Contact customer support if degradation occurs prematurely.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Prevents costly gutter blockages and potential water damage.
  • Requires no ongoing maintenance after installation.
  • Universally fits common gutter sizes.
  • Protects against UV rays and extreme temperatures.
  • Easy to install without professional help.

Cons

  • May not fit gutters outside the 100-116mm range.
  • Very fine dust or silt could potentially accumulate over long periods.
  • Requires initial access to the gutters for installation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure your gutters are clean before installation.
  2. Measure your gutter's internal diameter to confirm it is within the 100-116mm range.
  3. Simply insert the brush into the gutter channel, ensuring it sits snugly.
  4. Cut the brush to size if necessary using sharp shears or cutters (though it's designed to be continuous).

Compatibility:

  • Designed for standard round or half-round gutters with an internal diameter of 100mm to 116mm.
  • Not suitable for square-section gutters or those outside the specified diameter range.

Care:

  • The GroundMaster brush is maintenance-free. Its UV-resistant coating ensures longevity.
  • No cleaning is typically required, as rain and water flow should keep it clear of most debris. Periodically inspect for any unusual build-up, though this is rare.
