FAQs

What are the main ingredients in these treats?

The main ingredients are Lamb Meal (30%), Sweet Potato (24%), Pea Flour (20%), and Vegetable Glycerine (15%), alongside other natural components like cold-pressed rapeseed oil, dried parsley, dried mint, and yucca extract.

Are these treats suitable for puppies?

Yes, these treats are suitable for puppies aged 2 months and older. For smaller puppies, we recommend breaking the treat in half for the perfect bite.

Are these treats grain-free?

Yes, these Forthglade Soft Bite Dog Treats are entirely grain-free, making them an excellent choice for dogs with grain sensitivities or allergies.

How much of these treats should I give my dog?

Treats should only be a small, occasional part of your dog's balanced diet. The exact quantity depends on your dog's size, activity level, and overall diet. Always ensure fresh drinking water is available.

What is the texture of the treats?

They are 'soft bite' treats, meaning they have a soft, pliable texture, making them easy for dogs of all ages to chew. They are also hand-baked.

Can I use these treats for training?

Absolutely! Their delicious lamb flavor and high palatability make them an ideal 'high-reward' treat for positive reinforcement and training sessions. They are also easily broken into smaller pieces for repeated rewards.

What are the analytical constituents?

The analytical constituents are Crude Protein 23.1%, Crude Fibre 1.4%, Crude Fat 10%, Crude Ash 6.9%, and Moisture 20%.

Troubleshooting

My dog isn't interested in the treats.

While these treats are highly palatable for most dogs, individual preferences vary. Ensure the treat is presented as a special reward, not just left out. If disinterest persists, consider trying other Forthglade Soft Bite flavors like Salmon or Turkey to find your dog's favorite.

My dog is eating the treats too quickly.

The treats are designed to be soft and easily broken. For fast eaters, break each heart-shaped treat into smaller pieces. This extends the treat experience and allows for better portion control, especially during training.

My dog seems to have an upset stomach after eating the treats.

First, ensure you are following the feeding guidelines, as treats should only form a small part of a balanced diet. Overfeeding any treat can cause digestive upset. If symptoms persist or are severe, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. While grain-free, an individual dog might have sensitivities to other ingredients.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These Forthglade Soft Bite Dog Treats are designed for immediate use with minimal consideration beyond responsible pet ownership.

Compatibility

These treats are suitable for all dogs aged 2 months and older. Their `grain-free` formulation makes them particularly compatible with dogs that have sensitive digestive systems or those prone to allergic reactions to grains. The soft texture is also beneficial for puppies and older dogs who might have difficulty with harder treats.

Care & Storage

To maintain the freshness and palatability of your Forthglade Soft Bite Dog Treats, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, ensure the packaging is sealed properly to prevent them from drying out or becoming stale. Always make sure your dog has access to fresh drinking water when consuming treats to aid digestion and hydration.
