Setup, Compatibility & Care
When planting your pack of six, space each plant approximately 12 to 18 inches apart if you want to create a solid mat over time. Prepare the soil by removing debris and ensuring it is well-draining yet capable of holding moisture.
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball.
- Place the plant at the same depth it was in the nursery pot.
- Backfill with soil and water thoroughly.
Care is minimal: ensure the soil does not dry out completely during the first season of growth. Once established, the plant is quite hardy. If the growth becomes too aggressive or encroaches on walking paths, simply trim the trailing stems back with garden shears; the plant handles pruning very well and will quickly produce new growth.
