Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Locate Wall Studs: For optimal stability, identify wall studs using a stud finder. The shelf's weight requires secure anchoring.
- Mark Mounting Points: Based on the included hardware and desired shelf height, mark the drilling locations on the wall, ensuring they align with the studs.
- Install Brackets: Securely attach the floating shelf brackets to the wall using appropriate screws for your wall type (e.g., wood screws for studs, masonry anchors for brick).
- Mount Shelf: Slide the shelf onto the installed brackets. Some models may require final securing screws from underneath.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for mounting on solid walls (studs, brick, concrete). It is not recommended for hollow walls or plasterboard without appropriate heavy-duty anchors rated for the shelf's weight plus contents.
Care:
- Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.
- For deep cleaning, use a mild wood cleaner and dry thoroughly.
- Protect from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to maintain the wood's finish and integrity.
- Periodically check that mounting hardware remains secure.
