No, it is recommended to hand wash this fabric to preserve the vibrant pattern and fabric quality.
Yes, its smooth and stable weave makes it very easy to work with for those new to dressmaking or quilting.
This is a lightweight fabric with a 120 GSM finish.
The fabric comes in a width of 110cm.
While intended for dressmaking and quilting, it can be used for small decorative items, provided they do not require frequent machine washing.
Use a serger or a zigzag stitch on the raw edges immediately after cutting to stabilize the fabric.
Use plenty of pins or fabric clips during the pinning stage to ensure the abstract tie-dye elements align correctly at the seams.
To ensure optimal results, it is recommended to pre-wash the fabric before starting your project to account for any initial shrinkage. Because of the delicate nature of the batik process and the dye, hand washing in cool water is essential. Avoid using harsh bleaching agents or aggressive detergents. When pressing your project, use a medium heat setting with a pressing cloth to protect the fibers. Store the fabric in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of the green dye.
