Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure success, plant your bulbs between autumn and early spring. Choose a site that receives full sun and has fertile, well-draining soil. Dig a hole 8-10cm deep and space each bulb 10cm apart.
Care Instructions:
- Watering: Water thoroughly immediately after planting.
- Soil Enrichment: Incorporate organic matter or compost into the planting hole to improve soil structure.
- Deadheading: Remove spent blooms throughout the season to encourage the plant to focus energy on next year's growth rather than seed production.
- End of Season: Allow the foliage to turn yellow and die back naturally before trimming, as the leaves absorb sunlight to replenish the bulb for the following season.
- Mulching: Apply a layer of mulch in the autumn to protect the bulbs and retain soil moisture.
