Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These are pillar taps, meaning they require two separate holes in the basin or worktop – one for the hot water and one for the cold water. Ensure your basin has the appropriate configuration for pillar taps. Installation typically involves connecting the flexible hoses or copper pipes from your hot and cold water supply to the respective inlets on the taps, securing them from underneath with the provided metal back nuts. It is recommended to follow the manufacturer's detailed installation guide or consult a qualified plumber for optimal results.
Compatibility: The Bristan Capri Basin Pillar Taps are designed to connect to standard UK water supply fittings. They are suitable for use with systems with a minimum operating pressure of 0.1 bar and a maximum of 5.0 bar. Always check your home's water pressure and compatibility before installation.
Care: To maintain the lustrous chrome finish, clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the plating. For stubborn water spots, a mild detergent diluted in water can be used, followed by rinsing and drying with a soft cloth. Periodically check that the fixings remain secure.
