FAQs

Can these brackets be used outdoors?

The black powder coating is designed for durability and rust resistance, but indoor use is recommended to maximize the lifespan of the finish.

What is the weight capacity per bracket?

The set of two is rated for 160 lbs; therefore, each individual bracket supports 80 lbs when installed correctly.

Does the set include screws for the wall?

Yes, the product includes a complete set of high-quality mounting accessories for installation.

Are these brackets adjustable?

No, these are fixed, rigid L-shaped brackets designed specifically for a 90-degree angle.

Can I mount these on drywall without studs?

It is not recommended to mount heavy-duty brackets into drywall alone, as this can cause the shelf to pull out of the wall; always aim to secure at least one side of the bracket into a stud.

How thick is the metal?

The brackets are constructed from 10mm thick high-strength material.

Troubleshooting

Shelf feels unstable or wobbles

Ensure all mounting screws are fully tightened and check that the brackets were installed into wooden studs rather than just drywall anchors.

Bracket appears slightly uneven

Use a spirit level during installation to ensure both brackets are perfectly aligned; if one is off, remove the screws, realign, and re-drill pilot holes.

Surface of bracket scratched during installation

The black powder coating is durable, but deep scratches can be touched up with a matte black metal paint pen to prevent potential rust.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High weight capacity up to 160 lbs per pair
  • Durable 10mm thick construction
  • Protective powder coating prevents rust
  • Rounded edges for safe installation
  • Includes all necessary mounting hardware

Cons

  • Fixed 90-degree angle limits adjustability
  • Requires proper stud mounting for maximum weight capacity
  • Color is limited to black

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation should be performed using a level to ensure the brackets are perfectly square. For maximum load-bearing capacity, it is essential to align the brackets with wall studs. Use a stud finder before marking your drill points. Once mounted, the brackets require minimal maintenance; simply wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth if dust or debris accumulates. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may compromise the integrity of the powder coating over time. Regularly check that the screws remain tight, especially if the shelves are subject to frequent vibrations or heavy daily use.
