While primarily designed for exterior use, it can be used indoors if adequate ventilation is provided. However, for interior applications, Osmo offers specialized interior finishes.

Generally, no sanding is required between coats of Osmo UV Protection Oil Tints. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying subsequent coats.

Two thin coats are typically recommended for optimal protection and color. For very weathered wood or if a deeper color is desired, a third thin coat might be applied.

UV Protection Oil provides clear protection against UV rays without adding color. UV Protection Oil Tints offer the same protective qualities but also impart a subtle color to enhance the wood's appearance.

It is best applied to bare, clean wood. If there is an existing finish, it must be completely removed (sanded off) before applying Osmo UV Protection Oil Tints for proper adhesion.

Regular cleaning with a broom or a damp cloth is sufficient. Depending on environmental factors, a maintenance coat might be needed every few years.

Ensure the product was stirred thoroughly before and during application. Apply in thin, even coats and avoid over-application in any one area. Ensure previous coats were fully dry.

Verify that sufficient coats were applied and that they were allowed to cure properly. In some cases, a third thin coat may be necessary for dense woods or high-exposure areas.

Adjust application based on ambient temperature and humidity. Avoid applying in direct, hot sunlight or during very humid conditions. Ensure proper ventilation.

This usually indicates a coat that was applied too thickly or did not dry fully. Apply a small amount of mineral spirits to a cloth and lightly wipe the affected area to remove excess. Allow to dry completely.
