The Mahle LX2797 engine air filter is designed for vehicle owners who prioritize original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards for their engine's longevity and intake efficiency. It offers superior filtration to keep harmful particulates out of your combustion chamber, though users must verify their specific vehicle model, as multiple filter shapes may exist for the same make and model years.

Follow your vehicle's owner manual, but generally every 15,000 miles, or sooner if you drive in high-dust areas.
No, this is a dry paper-media filter designed for replacement, not cleaning.
Yes, ensure the pleats are oriented according to the flow direction indicated on your air box housing.
No, using an OEM-quality filter like a Mahle LX2797 meets manufacturer requirements for maintenance.
Check the MPN (LX2797) against your vehicle’s service manual or use an online parts lookup tool specific to your VIN.
Ensure the filter is properly oriented and the rubber gasket is correctly aligned within the groove.
Double-check that the air intake hose was reconnected securely and there are no kinks in the ducting.
Verify the filter housing is not cracked and that the clips are applying sufficient pressure for an airtight seal.
Before installation, open your engine air box and compare the existing filter to the LX2797 to ensure the 45mm x 172mm x 276mm dimensions match. To install, unlatch the clips or unscrew the air box housing, remove the old filter, and wipe away any loose debris from the housing interior. Insert the new Mahle filter, ensuring the rubber seal is seated perfectly along the edges to prevent air bypass. Close the housing securely. It is recommended to inspect the filter every 10,000 to 15,000 miles, or more frequently if you drive in severe conditions.
