The Nippon Pre-Baited Mouse Traps are designed for homeowners and professionals seeking a reliable, traditional method for rodent control. Their primary strength lies in their durable, reusable construction and straightforward, immediate usability. One important caveat is that while they come pre-baited, their effectiveness can be significantly increased by adding supplemental baits like meat or fish, and they require regular monitoring to manage trapped pests humanely and efficiently.

These traps are primarily designed for indoor use to protect them from weather and unintended interaction with non-target animals.
It is recommended to check the traps daily to ensure the safety of the environment and to manage catches promptly.
The traps come pre-baited, but adding high-scent foods like fish or chocolate can improve results if you are struggling to catch a specific rodent.
They should be placed in areas inaccessible to pets, such as inside secure cabinets or behind heavy furniture where only rodents can navigate.
Use warm water and mild soap to wash the trap after a catch, ensuring it is completely dry before resetting it.
The rodent is likely too light or not positioning itself correctly; try using a stickier bait like chocolate or peanut butter to ensure they interact more with the trigger plate.
Ensure the trap is placed along a wall in a low-light area and try moving it to a different location where activity has been observed.
To set the trap, pull the spring-loaded bar back into the locked position carefully, keeping fingers clear of the trigger plate. Place the trap on a flat, stable surface where rodent droppings or rub marks have been observed. For maintenance, clean the trap after each use with warm soapy water to remove scent markers left by previous rodents, as these can deter others from approaching. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to preserve the integrity of the spring mechanism.
