FAQs

Can I install this on a sloped garden?

No, the structure must be installed on level ground to ensure safety and proper functionality of the slides and swings.

Is the BILT app required for assembly?

While physical manuals are provided, the BILT app is highly recommended for its 3D interactive guidance, which is much easier to follow.

How often should I treat the wood?

It is recommended to apply a water-repellent stain or preservative annually to protect the cedar from weather damage.

How many children can use the frame at once?

The structure is designed for multiple users, but always follow the weight limits specified in the manual for individual components.

What is the purpose of the swing extender?

The patented extender provides extra space between the swing set and the main frame, ensuring safer clearance for users.

Troubleshooting

Difficulty identifying specific hardware parts

Use the BILT app's search and zoom features to compare physical parts against the 3D model.

Frame feels unstable after initial assembly

Verify that all bolts are tightened properly and ensure the frame is situated on a level, solid surface.

Stiffness or minor gaps in wood components

Cedar wood is a natural product; slight expansion and contraction are normal. Check if the frame needs re-leveling.

Cedar wood requires periodic maintenance to prevent weathering

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly of the Cedar Cove Climbing Frame is simplified through the use of the BILT mobile application, which offers 3D animations to help identify parts and hardware. It is highly recommended to inventory all parts against the manual before beginning.

Maintenance Tips:

Leveling: Regularly check that the frame remains level to prevent stress on joint connections.
Tightening: Periodically inspect and tighten all bolts and hardware, as seasonal changes can affect wood expansion.
Cleaning: Wash the slides and play surfaces with mild soap and water to prevent buildup of debris.
Wood Care: Apply a wood preservative or stain annually to maintain the integrity of the cedar and protect it from sun and moisture damage.
