The Makita RT0702CX2 is a 6mm (1/4"), 8mm (3/8") 710W Variable Speed Trimmer with Anti-Restart Function. Features a slim and ergonomically designed body for increased comfort. This model replaces the RT0700CX2. It boasts aluminum housing and base for higher durability and accuracy, with 4 different base assemblies for added versatility. The powerful 710W motor delivers improved performance, and the variable speed control dial (10000 34000 rpm) allows users to match the speed to the application. Enjoy smooth rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment for more precise settings, and a slim, ergonomically designed body for increased comfort. Quick release cam lock system allows for convenient depth adjustments and base removal/installation. Electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load. The base can be removed quickly to install other bases (plunge, tilt, and offset). Features a soft start for smooth start-ups, a flat top for stability when changing bits, and can be connected to Makita vacuum cleaners. The rocker on/off switch ensures efficient operation, and externally accessible brushes allow for easy serviceability. It is double insulated. Included in the set are the RT0702C Router/Trimmer, Collet Cone, Trimmer Base Assembly, Straight Guide Assembly, Templet Guide, 2x Wrenches, Dust Nozzle, Tilt Base Assembly, Plunge Base Assembly, and Offset Base Assembly. Collet capacity is ¼” (6mm) and 3/8” (8mm). Maximum plunge capacity with trimmer base is 0 to 40mm, and with plunge base is 0 to 35mm. Features a rocker type on/off switch, soft start, variable speed controlled by dial, constant speed control, and an anti-restart function. It also includes a dust collection facility and precision cutting depth adjustment with a simple and efficient base lock system. The base can be removed quickly and easily to install other bases.
