Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Choose the desired location for your planter.
- If using outdoors, ensure the planter is placed on a stable, level surface. Consider the weight once filled.
- For indoor use, place a saucer underneath to protect surfaces from moisture.
- Add a layer of drainage material (e.g., gravel, pottery shards) at the bottom if desired, especially for plants sensitive to overwatering.
- Fill with appropriate potting soil and plant your chosen flora.
Compatibility:
This planter is compatible with a wide range of plants, including:
- Houseplants (ferns, pothos, snake plants)
- Succulents and Cacti
- Herbs
- Small flowering plants
- Bushes, shrubs, and small trees
Care:
- Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners which can damage the finish.
- For winter protection outdoors, consider emptying the planter or protecting it from harsh frost to prevent potential cracking.
- Ensure adequate drainage holes are present or created if necessary for the specific plant's needs. If the planter does not have pre-drilled holes, you may need to carefully drill them using appropriate tools for fibre clay.
