Product Information

Full details

The Smeg KSGT124X is a built-in extractor hood designed for home cooks who value both performance and aesthetics. It effectively removes cooking odors and steam with multiple speed settings and an intensive mode, while its stainless steel finish and LED lighting add a touch of elegance to any kitchen. Keep in mind that for optimal performance, this hood requires proper installation and ducting, or the use of recirculation filters. It also works best when combined with a Smeg Auto-Vent 2.0 hob for automatic operation.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation:

  1. Professional Installation: It is recommended to have the hood professionally installed to ensure proper ducting or recirculation setup. Incorrect installation can reduce its efficiency.
  2. Minimum Distances: Ensure the hood is installed at the correct distance above your cooking surface: a minimum of 50 cm from an electric hob and 65 cm from a gas hob.
  3. Ducting: For ducted installations, connect the hood to an appropriate exhaust vent. Ensure that the ducting is properly sealed to prevent leaks.
  4. Recirculation: If ducting is not possible, use the appropriate charcoal filters for recirculation (filters not included).

Compatibility:

  • The KSGT124X is compatible with most standard kitchen setups.
  • For automatic operation, the Auto-Vent 2.0 feature works only with a Smeg Auto-Vent 2.0 hob.

Care:

  1. Cleaning the Filters: The stainless steel grease filters should be cleaned regularly. They can be hand-washed with soapy water.
  2. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the stainless steel surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
  3. Filter Cleaning Indicator: The hood has a filter cleaning indicator to remind you to clean the filters.
