Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Your Luminox Sport Timer arrives with the crown in the 'pulled out' position to conserve battery. To start the watch:
- Gently push the crown back into the `normal` position against the case.
- Set the correct time by pulling the crown out to the first or second position (depending on the movement's functionality for date setting) and turning it.
- If setting the date, ensure you do so between 9 AM and 3 PM to avoid damaging the date-changing mechanism. Pull the crown to the position that allows date adjustment and turn it until the correct date appears.
Compatibility:
This is a standalone timepiece. Its functionality is self-contained and does not rely on external devices or software for operation. The 22mm bracelet is designed to fit the watch case and is not intended for compatibility with other watch models.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the case, bracelet, and seals.
- Water Resistance: While rated for 100m, it's advisable to have the water resistance and seals checked periodically by an authorized Luminox service center, especially if you frequently expose the watch to water. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, as this can affect the movement's performance and potentially damage seals.
