Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon first use, and before each subsequent use, ensure the soother is thoroughly cleaned. The included self-sterilising travel case simplifies this process. Refer to the product's packaging for specific instructions on how to use the case for sterilisation, which typically involves adding a small amount of water and microwaving.
Compatibility
This soother is specifically designed for premature and newborn babies. Its extra-small size and specialized teat are optimized for their delicate oral structures and needs. It is not intended for older infants.
Care
- Cleaning: Before first use, and at regular intervals, sterilise the soother. The self-sterilising travel case offers a quick and effective method. Otherwise, wash thoroughly with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse well.
- Inspection: Always inspect the soother before each use. Pull the teat in all directions to check for any signs of damage, tears, or weakness. Replace the soother at the first sign of wear or damage.
- Storage: Store soothers in a dry, covered container. Use the travel case for hygienic storage when on the go.
- Hygiene: Do not dip the teat in sweet substances or medicine, as this can lead to tooth decay. Replace soothers regularly for hygiene and safety reasons, typically every 1-2 months, or sooner if showing signs of wear.
