Setup, Compatibility & Care
To maximize the lifespan of your Shelver bungee cords, ensure that you attach them to anchor points that are free of sharp, jagged edges that could slice the braided sheath. When securing items, aim to distribute tension evenly across multiple cords rather than relying on a single cord for a heavy load.
For care, simply rinse the cords with fresh water if they are exposed to saltwater or mud to prevent grit from working its way into the elastic core. Allow the cords to air dry in a shaded area rather than leaving them in direct, intense sunlight for prolonged periods when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the integrity of the inner rubber strands.
