Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the engine is cool before beginning.
- Identify the correct spark plug location for your engine.
- Carefully remove the old spark plug using the appropriate spanner size (16 mm).
- Verify the new spark plug's thread size (M 12 x 1.25) and thread length (26.5 mm) match the requirement.
- Thread the new spark plug in by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plug to the recommended 23 Nm. Over-tightening can damage the cylinder head, while under-tightening can lead to leaks.
- Reconnect the spark plug wire or ignition coil.
Compatibility:
This spark plug is compatible with the following OEM part numbers:
- DAIHATSU: 9004851189, 9004851192

Always consult your vehicle's service manual or a reliable parts compatibility guide to confirm it is the correct replacement for your specific make and model.
Care:
Spark plugs are wear items and are not typically designed for user maintenance beyond replacement. Avoid cleaning or regapping, as this can alter their performance characteristics and potentially damage the electrode. Inspect for damage during routine maintenance and replace as needed.
