Ensure the eyelet is securely connected to its anchor point and the wire rope/chain is properly secured within the eyelet. If the eyelet itself is damaged, replace the straining screw.

Verify that the length of wire rope/chain is correct for the span being tensioned. Ensure the straining screw is not at its maximum extension limit (visible via the open body). Consider using a larger or longer straining screw if required.
