This high-performance USB 3.2 Gen 2 PCIe add-on card expands your computer's capabilities with one USB-A and one USB-C port, each supporting 10Gbps speeds. It utilizes Multiple INs to maintain maximum bandwidth, even with mixed-speed devices connected. The card includes SATA power connectors for supplemental power to the USB ports, delivering up to 5V 3A (15W) via the USB-C port and 5V 0.9A (4.5W) via the USB-A port. It supports the USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) to optimize performance with external storage devices like SSDs, HDDs, and NVMe drives. The card installs in a PCIe 3.0 x4 desktop or server slot (compatible with PCIe 2.0 with reduced performance) and offers automatic driver installation for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Windows 8 and up). It is backward compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0, and 2.0 devices. StarTech.com provides a 2-year warranty and free lifetime 24-hour support for this dual-port USB-A & USB-C PCI Express Host Controller card, which includes both full and low-profile brackets.
