FAQs

How many vents do I need?

The number of vents needed depends on the size and design of your roof. Consult with a building professional or follow building regulation guidelines for proper ventilation.

Can I install these from outside the roof?

No, the Manthorpe Felt Lap Vent is designed to be installed from inside the loft.

What tools do I need?

You may need a utility knife or scissors to make small adjustments to the felt, but no special tools are generally required.

What if my felt is very old?

The felt clips help to secure the vent, but if the felt is severely degraded, you might consider using additional fixings like staples or roofing nails to ensure a secure fit.

Is this product suitable for new roofs?

While the product is primarily designed for refurbishment, it can be used in new roofs, but the installation process will vary.
