EHEIM Outlet Pipe - 12/16mm

This outlet pipe is designed for hoses with an inner diameter of 12mm and an outer diameter of 16mm.

While it is primarily designed for EHEIM filters, it can be used with any filter that utilizes 12/16mm outlet hoses, provided the connection is secure.

The bent shape allows it to hook over the aquarium rim, providing a stable and convenient way to position the outlet above or just at the water's surface for effective water circulation and surface agitation.

The Broad Jet pipe creates a wide, powerful stream of water for strong surface agitation, while the flow elbow offers a weaker, more directed flow that can be precisely oriented.

A suction cup is recommended for securing the pipe above the water surface at an angle, especially when not resting directly on the aquarium rim. It may not be included with all purchases.

It's advisable to check and clean the outlet pipe during your regular aquarium maintenance routine, typically every 2-4 weeks, or more often if you notice reduced flow or buildup.

Check the filter intake for blockages, ensure the filter media is clean, and verify that the hose is not kinked. Inspect the outlet pipe itself for any internal obstructions.

Clean the aquarium rim and the suction cup to improve adhesion. If the suction cup is old or damaged, consider replacing it.

Adjust the angle or depth of the outlet pipe. Submerging it slightly more or directing the flow away from the surface can reduce noise and splashing.
