Setup, Compatibility & Care
This section outlines how to properly introduce and maintain Erborian Skin Therapy Light in your routine to maximize its benefits and ensure product longevity.
First-Time Use & Setup:
- Patch Test: Before full facial application, apply a small amount of serum to an inconspicuous area (e.g., behind the ear or on the inner arm) and wait 24-48 hours to check for any irritation or adverse reactions. This is especially recommended for products with active ingredients like PHA.
- Initial Application: Begin by using the serum every other night, gradually increasing to nightly use as your skin adapts.
Compatibility with Other Products:
- Layering: Apply the serum after cleansing and toning, but before heavier creams or oils. Serums are typically applied before moisturizers.
- Active Ingredients: If you use other products containing potent actives (e.g., Retinoids, Vitamin C, other AHAs/BHAs), introduce Erborian Skin Therapy Light slowly. Consider alternating nights or consulting a dermatologist to avoid over-exfoliation or irritation.
- Sunscreen: While this is a night treatment, consistent daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen is crucial, especially when using products containing PHAs, as they can increase sun sensitivity.
Product Care & Storage:
- Storage: Store the serum in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Heat and light can degrade active ingredients.
- Cap Securely: Always ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent air exposure and contamination.
- Shelf Life: Refer to the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the packaging, typically indicated by an open jar icon with a number followed by 'M' (e.g., '12M' for 12 months), to determine how long the product is safe to use after opening.
