The Luxe SE model features updated premium materials for enhanced comfort and a refined aesthetic, alongside the iconic Vibram® TC5+ outsole which has been a hallmark of the Moab series.

The Merrell Moab Mesa Luxe SE is designed with water-resistant materials. While they offer protection against light moisture, they are not fully waterproof unless specifically indicated by a Gore-Tex or similar membrane, which is not standard on this particular model.

Refer to Merrell's official sizing chart for accurate measurements. It's recommended to measure your foot length and width and compare it to the chart. Trying them on, preferably in the afternoon when feet are slightly swollen, is also advisable.

While the Vibram® TC5+ outsole provides excellent grip, the Moab Mesa Luxe SE is primarily designed as a hiking shoe, focusing on support and comfort for walking. For dedicated trail running, a shoe with more flexibility and lighter construction might be preferable.

The lifespan of the outsole depends heavily on usage frequency, terrain, and maintenance. Under normal hiking conditions and with proper care, the Vibram® TC5+ outsole is known for its durability and should provide reliable traction for many miles.

The Merrell Moab Mesa Luxe SE is a low-cut hiking shoe, meaning it provides support around the foot and ankle joint but does not extend above the ankle. For users requiring more significant ankle support, consider Merrell's mid-cut or high-cut boot options.

The premium materials may require a short break-in period. Wear them for shorter walks initially and gradually increase duration. Ensure laces are adjusted correctly for a comfortable, secure fit.

Ensure the Vibram® TC5+ outsole is clean and free from mud or debris. For persistent issues, check the outsole's tread depth for wear. The outsole is designed for grip but may perform differently on extremely slick surfaces.

Follow the care instructions for cleaning and use appropriate waterproofing products for leather/suede if necessary. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh elements or direct, intense sunlight.
