Setup
- Prepare the Wall: Cut a hole in the plasterboard according to the dimensions of the box. Ensure the hole is clean and free of debris.
- Cable Entry: Knock out the required cable entry points (side or base) using a suitable tool.
- Position the Box: Insert the box into the hole in the wall.
- Adjust the Lugs: Use a screwdriver to adjust the lugs, ensuring they securely grip the back of the plasterboard.
- Wiring: Feed the electrical cables through the entry points and connect them to the socket.
- Secure the Socket: Mount the socket into the box.
Compatibility
The Appleby Dry Lining Box is compatible with standard 1 gang electrical sockets and suitable for plasterboard walls with thicknesses from 6.35mm to 15mm.
Care
- Clean the box with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect the box periodically for any signs of damage or wear.
- Ensure that all cable entries are properly sealed to prevent dust or moisture from entering.
