An RCBO (Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent protection) is a combined device that provides protection against both overcurrent (overload) and earth leakage faults, protecting users and appliances.

Type A RCBOs are designed to detect and respond to pulsating DC fault currents, offering a higher level of protection compared to standard RCBOs.

RCBOs should be tested at least every six months. Press the test button to verify proper functionality.

Installation should only be performed by qualified electricians or individuals with relevant electrical qualifications to comply with safety regulations.

The BG Metal 100A Consumer Unit comes with a 10-year warranty, covering manufacturing defects.

If an RCBO trips, switch it fully off, and then switch it back on. If it trips again, there may be a fault in that circuit.
