Lindy Fibre Optic Hybrid HDMI 8K60 Cable - 30 m - Black
Lindy’s range of Fibre Optic Hybrid cables are a professional solution for extending HDMI signals ...Lindy’s range of Fibre Optic Hybrid cables are a professional solution for extending HDMI signals over longer distances. Combining the flexibility and high EMI & RFI resistance of fibre optic cable with standard copper cabling, these hybrid cables are ideal for use in critical AV setups, commercial displays or high-performance residential installations. The internal technology provides uncompressed amplification of the HDMI signal, allowing long distance extension of HDMI 8K content that is simply not possible with passive cables. With 48Gbps bandwidth, these cables support 2.1 resolutions up to 3840x2160@120Hz, and 7680x4320 / 10240x4320@60Hz. Content can be viewed with incredible detail and clarity at higher refresh rates for optimum viewing of movies, graphics or imagery. As well as static HDR, HDMI hybrid cables also brings further support for dynamic HDR formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+. This provides every moment of content, whether scene by scene or even frame by frame, with a much wider colour gamut based on the BT.2020 colour space, higher peak brightness and deep blacks for optimum contrasts as well as greater depth of colour. This is essential for the transmission of VOD content including TV shows and movies, as well as VR and video games, ideal in eSports, retail setups and superior home cinema installations. The advance of audio control and formats is also brought forward with HDMI. eARC support further simplifies connectivity with compatible sound systems, amplifiers and soundbars, passing lossless audio from the source to the connected output over the cable. eARC also supports high bitrate audio with a sample rate of up to 192kHz and up to 32 channels. This allows for the use of object based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, truly surrounding the viewer in immersive sound to enhance and compliment the video content. This is great for multi-dimension residential setups, cinema installations, or inspiring event distribution. Whether used with residential gaming setups or premium eSports events, these AOC cables also provide extensive features for enhancing the gaming experience, whilst also benefitting fast moving sports and entertainment content. VRR (Variable Refresh rate) reduces and eliminates lag, judder and frame tearing for a much fluid gameplay experience whether it’s for quick reactions in an action game or scoring a last minute winner in sports games. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) further helps this by enabling the ideal latency setting for smooth transitions of content. QFT (Quick Frame Transport) also assists with ensuring low latency, by transporting frames at a higher rate which can prove essential with real time VR gameplay. These features also benefit various other industries such as sports bar distribution, medical facilities, experiential displays or news broadcasting. Please Note: eARC/ARC and CEC functions are not supported for lengths over 20m. We can make cables up to 200m on request, contact us for quotations. FAQs
What is the maximum resolution and refresh rate supported by this cable?
This Lindy Fibre Optic Hybrid HDMI cable supports resolutions up to 7680x4320 / 10240x4320 @60Hz and 3840x2160 @120Hz, with a data transfer rate of 48Gbps.
Does this cable support HDR content?
Yes, it supports static HDR as well as dynamic HDR formats such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for enhanced visual quality.
Can I use this cable for high-bandwidth audio formats like Dolby Atmos?
Yes, the cable supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), which allows for lossless audio transmission including object-based formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, up to 32 channels and 192kHz sample rate.
What are the gaming benefits of this cable?
The cable supports gaming-specific features like VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to reduce screen tearing, ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for optimal input lag, and QFT (Quick Frame Transport) for smoother frame delivery, enhancing the gaming experience.
Are eARC/ARC and CEC functions supported on all lengths?
No, eARC/ARC and CEC functions are *not* supported for cable lengths over 20 meters. For lengths 20m and below, these functions should work if enabled on both connected devices.
What makes this cable a 'hybrid' type?
It's a hybrid cable because it combines both fibre optic and standard copper wiring. This blend offers the high-speed, low-interference benefits of fiber optics for signal transmission over distance, along with the flexibility and robustness of copper.
What is the warranty period for this cable?
The Lindy 38513 HDMI cable comes with a 2-Year Warranty.
Troubleshooting
No video or audio signal
Ensure both ends of the cable are securely connected to the source and display. Verify that the correct HDMI input is selected on the display. Try a shorter, known-working HDMI cable to rule out source/display issues. For lengths over 20m, eARC/ARC and CEC will not function; ensure these features are not critical for your setup or use a shorter cable if they are.
Intermittent signal or flickering image
Check for any physical damage to the cable or connectors. Ensure the cable is not routed too close to sources of strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., power adapters, fluorescent lights). Re-seat the cable connectors. If the issue persists, try a different cable.
Lower resolution or refresh rate than expected
Confirm that both your source device and display support the desired resolution and refresh rate (e.g., 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz). Ensure the HDMI port on your source device is capable of outputting the required bandwidth (48Gbps for HDMI 2.1). Check device settings for resolution and refresh rate limitations.
eARC/ARC or CEC functionality not working
Remember that eARC/ARC and CEC functions are *not* supported for cable lengths over 20 meters. If your cable is longer than 20m, these features will not work. For cables 20m or shorter, ensure both devices have eARC/ARC and CEC enabled in their respective settings menus.
