The Spear and Jackson Bulb Planter is an essential tool for gardeners looking to streamline their spring and autumn planting routines with minimal physical effort. Designed for durability and efficiency, this stainless steel tool is perfect for homeowners and hobbyists who frequently plant bulbs in beds or lawns, though its fixed 58mm diameter may limit its use for smaller or exceptionally large bulb varieties.

This planter creates a consistent hole with a 58mm diameter.
While the stainless steel finish helps, heavy clay can still be challenging. Ensure the soil is damp before use to improve performance.
No, the tool comes fully assembled and ready for immediate use.
Keep your proof of purchase and contact Spear and Jackson customer support through their official website should any manufacturing defects occur.
It is designed primarily for bulbs, but it can be used for any small bedding plant that fits within the 58mm diameter.
Ensure the spring-loaded handle is fully depressed and verify that no debris or small rocks are wedged near the ejection lever.
The soil may be too compacted or dry; lightly water the area before planting to soften the earth for easier penetration.
This tool arrives ready for use without any assembly required. To maintain the longevity of your bulb planter, always rinse off excess soil after each session to prevent debris buildup near the spring mechanism. While the stainless steel body is rust-resistant, wiping it with a light coat of machine oil before seasonal storage will keep the moving parts operating smoothly. Store in a dry shed or garage to ensure the spring remains free from seasonal corrosion.
