Full details
Small's Penstemon is an ideal species for naturalistic planting schemes, native to woodland margins and rocky slopes. It thrives in semi-shaded positions or full sun and prefers free-draining soil. This perennial flowers earlier than border hybrid penstemons and features larger, broader leaves. In late spring and early summer, it produces showy light purple blooms with white throats on deep purple-bronze stems. In autumn, the semi-evergreen foliage turns reddish bronze, persisting through winter. It reaches a height of 60cm (24in) and a spread of 40cm (16in). The plant is supplied as a 1-litre potted plant and flowers from May to June. Growing and care instructions are included. Please note: This product cannot be delivered outside the United Kingdom.
