The TruGlow® LED candle requires 2 x AA batteries. These are not included with the lantern and must be purchased separately.
The lantern features a built-in 6-hour timer. To activate it, turn the lantern on using the remote control. It will stay illuminated for 6 hours and then automatically switch off. It will then switch on again at the same time the following day.
This lantern is primarily designed for indoor use. While it can be placed on a sheltered porch, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight or rain, as the real wax candle component is sensitive to heat and moisture.
The lantern dimensions are (H) 38 x (W) 15 x (D) 14cm.
The LED flame has a realistic flickering effect but is not adjustable in terms of brightness or flicker speed. The primary controls are on/off and the timer function via the remote.
Gently wipe the lantern with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or the wax.
If the wax candle melts due to heat or sunlight, carefully move the lantern to a cooler environment. Once it cools and solidifies, it should retain its shape. However, prolonged exposure to heat may cause permanent deformation. Always place it away from heat sources.
Ensure that 2 x AA batteries are correctly inserted into the candle's base. Check if the batteries are fresh. Also, confirm the remote control is within range and has battery power, or try operating the candle directly if possible.
This may indicate low battery power. Replace the 2 x AA batteries with new ones. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly.
Check the battery in the remote control and replace if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the lantern. Try operating the lantern manually using any buttons on the lantern itself, if available.
Immediately move the lantern away from direct sunlight or any heat source. Allow the candle to cool and re-solidify. Place the lantern in a cooler location, away from windows or radiators, for future use.
