The Makita DRT50ZX4 is a BODY ONLY Router/Trimmer with 3/8" or 1/4" collet capacity and variable speed from 10,000-30,000 RPM. Supplied with Trimmer Base, straight guide, dust nozzle, collet cone, template guide and trimmer guide. Compatible with Makita 18V LXT batteries. Features a brushless motor for efficiency and longer life, constant speed under load, and soft start for reduced start-up shock. Variable speed allows for 10,000 to 30,000rpm operation. It has a smooth rack and pinion depth adjustment and a quick release cam lock for easy base removal and installation. Makita's first Cordless Brushless Laminate Trimmer, DRT50, features an efficient BL Brushless Motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It is engineered for cabinetry and woodworking applications with a variable speed control dial (10,000 - 30,000 RPM) and electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load. The soft start feature ensures smoother start-ups and better accuracy. Convenience features include a smooth fine depth adjustment system for precise settings, dual L.E.D. lights to illuminate the work surface, and a quick release cam lock system for convenient depth adjustments and base removal/installation. Additional bases and attachments are available separately. Bases from corded Makita Compact Routers (RT0700C, RT0701C) are compatible. The DRT50 easily connects to Makita vacuum cleaners with the dust nozzle for improved dust extraction. The aluminium housing and base ensure higher durability and accuracy. Usable collet sizes include 6 mm, 8 mm (1/4", 3/8"). It is 100% compatible with the Makita 18 volt Makstar range of LXT batteries up to 6.0Ah.
