The Ancol Viva Retractable Lead is designed for dog owners seeking to provide their pets with exploration freedom while maintaining control. Its key benefit is the one-button retraction system for instant adjustments, preventing the lead from dragging or getting tangled. A potential caveat is its suitability for dogs up to 50kg, so larger or stronger breeds may require a more robust option. This lead features an ergonomic soft-grip handle, a durable ABS plastic casing, and a 5-meter poly-weave tape for extended walks.

The Ancol Viva Retractable Lead is designed for dogs weighing up to 50kg.
The poly-weave tape is 5 meters in length, offering dogs ample space to explore.
Wipe the ABS casing and the tape with a damp cloth. Allow it to air dry completely before retracting or storing.
The casing is made from ABS plastic, chosen for its impact resistance and toughness.
This lead is primarily designed for providing freedom and control during walks, not for formal training requiring a consistently short or fixed-length lead.
It signifies that the product has undergone rigorous stress testing by an independent body (INTERTEK) to confirm its durability and reliability under extreme conditions.
Yes, the Ancol Viva retractable leads are available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, though availability may vary.
Ensure the lead is fully extended and then try retracting. Check for any debris caught in the tape or mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Gently try to move the button back and forth. Check for obstructions around the button mechanism. Avoid forcing the button, as this can cause damage.
Discontinue use immediately to prevent breakage. The lead should be replaced if the tape shows any signs of significant wear, cuts, or fraying.
Check the hook for any dirt or debris. You can try cleaning it with a small brush. Do not force the mechanism; if it remains stiff, consider it may need replacement.
Setup: The Ancol Viva Retractable Lead requires no assembly. Simply attach the sturdy trigger hook securely to your dog's collar or harness. Ensure the hook is fully closed and locked.
Compatibility: This lead is suitable for dogs weighing up to 50kg. It is designed for use with standard collars and harnesses that have a D-ring attachment point.
Care: To maintain the lead's performance, regularly inspect the tape for any signs of wear or damage. Clean the lead by wiping the ABS casing and tape with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the lead is fully retracted and dry before storing. Periodically check the retraction mechanism for smooth operation.
