Full details
The Regatta Rover Padded Jacket is a reliable outerwear solution designed for kids who need dependable warmth and protection during everyday outdoor activities in cooler weather. Its primary benefit is the combination of 200 g/m² insulation and a water-repellent finish, ensuring comfort during brisk or damp transitions, though parents should note that it is water-repellent rather than fully waterproof, making it better suited for light showers than heavy downpours.

FAQs

No, it is water-repellent. It is designed to handle light rain but will eventually soak through in heavy, persistent downpours.
What is the insulation weight?
This jacket features 200 g/m² insulation, which is a warm weight suitable for most cold-weather activities.
Does the hood detach?
The hood is an integrated part of the jacket design for added warmth and security.
Can I tumble dry this jacket?
We recommend air drying to preserve the loft of the padding and prevent damage to the material.
Troubleshooting
Water no longer beads on the surface of the jacket
The DWR finish may have worn off; apply a garment-safe DWR spray after washing.
Zipper feels stiff or stuck
Clean the zipper teeth with a soft brush to remove debris and lightly rub a candle or graphite pencil on the teeth to lubricate them.
Pros and Cons

- Durable polyester construction holds up well to everyday wear
- Water-repellent finish handles light rain effectively
Cons

- Single color option (Brown) may not suit all style preferences
- Polyester material requires specific care to maintain insulation loft
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the jacket maintains its performance over time, follow these care instructions:
- Washing: Use a cool wash cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the water-repellent coating.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent damaging the synthetic insulation fibers.
- Reproofing: If water stops beading on the surface after extensive use, consider using a fabric-safe DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray to restore its protective capabilities.
- Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place to ensure the padding remains evenly distributed.
