FAQs
What material is the Bonchef Chef Skull Cap made from?
The skull cap is made from a hard-wearing polycotton blend, with polyester being a key component.
Is this cap adjustable?
It features part elastication which helps to provide a better and more secure fit for various head sizes.
How should I clean the skull cap?
It is machine washable or can be hand washed. Avoid bleach and use a low heat for tumble drying or air dry.
What is the primary benefit of the three-piece construction?
The three-piece construction is designed to offer a more comfortable and secure fit compared to simpler cap designs.
Is this cap suitable for extremely hot kitchens?
The polycotton material offers some breathability, but it may be warmer than lighter, specialized fabrics. It is designed for general kitchen use.
Can this cap be worn by chefs with different hairstyles?
Yes, the design and elastication aim to accommodate various hairstyles, provided they can be adequately contained within the cap.
Troubleshooting
Cap feels too tight
The part elastication should provide some give. If it remains uncomfortable, it may not be the best fit for your head size. Ensure it is not being worn over excessively bulky hair.
Cap feels loose
Ensure the elasticated section is positioned correctly. If the cap consistently feels loose, it might be too large for your head size despite the elastic.
Discomfort during long wear
Check that the three-piece construction is sitting comfortably. Ensure hair is properly contained within the cap. For very long shifts, brief removal during breaks can help.
