The POLYMAKER Panchroma 3D Printing Filament, formerly known as PolyTerra PLA, is an ideal choice for 3D printing enthusiasts and professionals who prioritize aesthetic quality and ease of use. This bioplastic-based filament excels in creating smooth, matte-finish prints that hide layer lines effectively, making it perfect for display models and decorative items; however, users should be aware that the matte finish may require slightly different post-processing techniques compared to standard glossy PLA.

Yes, Panchroma is the rebranded version of Polymaker's popular PolyTerra PLA, maintaining the same high-quality matte formula.
While not strictly required, using a hardened steel or ruby nozzle is recommended if you print large quantities of matte filament, as the pigments can be slightly abrasive.
The product includes 1kg of filament on a standard cardboard spool.
While a heated bed (25°C - 60°C) is recommended for better adhesion, it is not strictly required for smaller prints.
Panchroma is bioplastic-based, which aligns with standard PLA environmental characteristics.
If the finish appears glossy, try lowering your printing temperature. Higher temperatures tend to make PLA appear slightly glossier.
Increase the printing temperature by 5-10°C to help the filament melt faster within the nozzle.
Fine-tune your retraction settings and ensure the cooling fan is running at 100% for bridges and overhangs.
Clean the print surface with isopropyl alcohol and ensure the first layer height is properly calibrated.
Setup Requirements
Compatibility
This filament is compatible with almost all desktop FDM 3D printers that utilize 1.75mm diameter filament. Because it is a matte-based PLA, it does not require a heated chamber, though a well-calibrated part cooling fan is essential for achieving sharp overhangs and bridges.
Care Instructions
Store the filament in a cool, dry place. Like most PLA-based materials, it can absorb ambient moisture over long periods. If you notice popping sounds or steam during printing, dry the filament in a dedicated dryer at 45°C for 4-6 hours. Always keep the spool in a sealed bag with desiccant when not in use.
