Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This cable requires professional termination using appropriate modular connectors (e.g., RJ11, RJ14, RJ25) and crimping tools designed for modular telephone plugs. Ensure correct pinouts are followed for the specific application. The flat design allows it to be routed easily along edges, under floor coverings, or through narrow conduits.
Compatibility: Compatible with standard telephone systems, modems, fax machines, and other devices utilizing modular telephone jacks. It is designed for low-voltage DC and analog/digital voice signals. Not suitable for high-speed Ethernet networking (e.g., Cat5e/Cat6).
Care: Keep the cable free from excessive dirt and moisture. Avoid sharp bends or kinks, which can damage the internal conductors. Periodically check connections for integrity, especially if the cable is subject to movement or strain. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary; avoid harsh chemicals.
